从怀孕到青少年，作为管理儿童的成长和发达的临床部门，使儿童在此过程中尽可能提高身体，智能，及社会性能力，帮助为将来成为优秀的成人而铺垫基础的临床部门。
正所谓“儿童并不是成人的缩小版”，在少儿时期发展阶段方面特性不同，因而疾病也有所不同，所以原则上儿童的所有疾病应由儿科医生来诊疗，总体性诊疗后，有必要的话，应由儿科医生来追加委托临床上的有关部门。诊疗科目有少儿感染及呼吸器疾病（哮喘，肺炎），少儿肾脏疾病（尿路感染，血尿，蛋白尿，肾综合症，过敏性紫斑等）。
